POLITEKNIK NEGERI SUBANG

Politeknik Negeri Subang (POLSUB) was officially established on April 2, 2014, under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Subang Regency Government and Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia. It was inaugurated by Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the President of the Republic of Indonesia at that time. POLSUB is a vocational higher education institution which facilitate the students to focus on practicums and practical doings (60%) which has more activities than lecture in the classroom (40%). To fulfil these, POLSUB assist them with the learning system of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Industry-Based Learning (IBL). As the result, POLSUB students have advantages to absorb industrial experiences directly to acknowledge and comprehend the production activities in a real industry environment and atmosphere.

As the professional campus, POLSUB has a significant role in national development to produce ready-to-use graduates according to their fields of expertise. Therefore, we train them to be ready and prepared with appropriate science and engineering skills to accomplish professional and qualified workforces who have high motivation, discipline, and work ethic in their field. They are also recognized by providing a competency certificate before they graduate.

POLSUB has four departments which consist of 4 diploma degrees (D-III) and 3 bachelor’s degrees in applied science (D-IV). (1) Department of Information Technology and Computers manages diploma degree of Information System and bachelor’s degree in applied science of software engineering technology. (2) Department of Agriculture manages diploma degree of agroindustry and bachelor’s degree in applied science of food crop production technology. (3) Department of Mechanical Engineering manages diploma degree of maintenance engineering and bachelor’s degree in applied science of manufacturing engineering technology. (4) Department of Health manages Diploma Degree of Nursing.
